Nicholas P. Brigante correspondence and papers, 1918-1971.

Correspondence consists of letters to Nicholas Brigante from artists and others relating chiefly to the work of artist Rex Slinkard, Brigante's mentor and teacher at the Art Students League of Los Angeles from 1914 to 1917. Correspondents include Conrad Buff, Puthuff Hanson, Marsden Hartley, Carl Sprinchorn, and Slinkard's fianceĢ Florence Williams.
